Fur sandals (ファーサンダル)

source: wear.jp

source: wear.jp

Wouldn’t it seem different to wear fur sandals as a fashion statement? No, not in Japan and in fact, it’s actually pretty popular and common. The fur sandal handles a foot in a way that puts it in a regular shoe surrounding and then makes it stand guard with a huge fur shield that acts as the guardian of uniqueness. The use of fur may give you the idea that the shoe has some kind of comfort level, but it actually has nothing to do with comfort and everything to do with style. The fur of the shoe is used as a color container by the designer, and could come in colors ranging from black to dark red or blue even. The case for fur has always been as a shoe addition that would be able to show off cultural taste, but in a lot of cases people have worn the fur sandals to show off their feet and highlight the ankle area and the area where the shin and leg bones are located. Attractive in the most basic sense of the word, but deeper for those love to see the ladies move around in style, and to mistaken them for something like house slippers is to miss out on how wonderful the wearer might be. For designers, the fur represents a type of thing that is able to be manipulated and used for creation with many different styles of shoes, whether its a slipper, a sandal, a heel, or a platform that can cause the look to blend in with other parts of the wearer, like the socks or outfit. The fashionista has good leverage point when dealing with the fur shoe/fur sandal because the design allows it to be in fashion and trendy most of the time. How would it go away when young teenage girls and women are buying it all the time? Girls and teenagers usually work the fur sandal by wearing them as a group going out and spending time with each other while rocking them and matching with no issue. It’s an instant love fest. For a girl or young adult woman that is into pedicure, the fur sandal’s highlighting effect can be an endless source of fashion thoughts, since she will always end up looking attractive to both lookers and her close friends. Please be sure to avoid the rain if you decide to try out these wonderful pair of shoes, otherwise you may be moving as fast as a rabbit! And you might be disappointed in how your socks or nylon barely served as protection. The barefoot is number one for the fur sandal though, because with bare feet, it’s easier to choose what our favorite type of fur sandal might be. The choices are made easier and we can wear them with style and success.

Japanese style (日本風)

So when we think of something like a Japanese style, what are some things that might come to mind? Probably all kinds of trendy, anime, jet set radio fashion attempts by innocent youngsters who are into the music scene. For the real people on the ground however, Japanese style probably refers to the expressions of many local brands or brands that are of Japanese origin. As we have noticed in a previous post, the pointed toe is a favorite of many Japanese brands, and a pointed toe on a shoe that has a side cut is textbook definition for a style from Japan. In terms of design, Japanese style hits the mark with clever uses for belt buckles on the shoe, a love for plain looking and simplistic perspectives, and being thoughtful about shoe functioning right down to the design. When taking a break from converse, there are a few choices for the wearer to make, and if you are okay with spending the money, then you can enjoy the comfort of a foreign brand or nicer styles that may be closer to home.

A Japanese shoe loves being original and fits well with original fashion. By original I mean something that has it’s own mode, a way of wearing and moving. The foot that experiences something is in mode, and many Japanese fashions enjoy this very much, even something that is closer to street fashions enjoy this. Impression comes to mind whenever the shoe is able to express it’s mode, and that’s why we find so many Japanese brands successfully causing the wearer to give off a good impression. If the wearer is happy with the shoe, then they might think about their choices, like I chose to do such and such with this style or I wanted to change this and that. The shoe should be able to allow for this and Japanese style gives it out quite well. Street fashions have no problems with expressing original, individual or whatever you may label the creativity as, but it is a different story when we have to consider styles that have the same quality, but in a different way. How is the wearer able to figure out or reveal the originality of the shoe when it isn’t as obvious as a street style? We are able to do something like this over time and not so immediate. The words vintage feel might work out perfectly here, but it’s really more about how well we fit with the shoes.

Gillie shoe (ギリーヒールパンプス)

Gilley shoes come with a thick heel, lace-up cord material that wrap up to the ankle
and a classic pointed toe that is standard for their design. The thick backside or heel is
a major stabilizing factor when walking and can add to the design for a classic look
that is easy to wear every season, along with a back zipper that is present is some
designs. A pink or dark red color shows the foot off nicely, making it great to wear with casual clothing, while an ivory or black will tend to give the shoe a strong looking tint that
would make the shoe look more powerful than it really is. What make Gilley shoes Japanese is that they are common with a lot of smaller, local brands, and the style of Gilley is easy to catch whenever you shop for them – either in sandal form, classical, or heel. The Japanese female foot is another factor, since the shoe itself will highlight the foot’s potential, with much of it is revealed through the laces and through the shoe’s appearance. In comparison to its close relative the basic lace-up shoe, Gilley can be featured with multiple cords and a thick heel or the thick heel can be placed with a double lace-up model. So, who would want to wear Gilley style lace-ups? Someone who was sure of their outfit and was wanting style with an easy walk, or someone who wanted a quick version of cute by wearing a nice pair with matching socks. Gilley shoe sock combo isn’t frequent, but will work if the outfit permits. The Gilley shoe style originated in Europe and was used for outdoor activities. Today it is a nice walk in the park for the wearer, with a simple lace-up pattern that is great with any outfit.

two color or single dot pedicure (2 色のペディキュア)

The two color pedicure style will put your foot into stand out mode by pushing the appeal factor up to the level of interesting. On an otherwise plain and boring looking foot, the two color pedicure takes your feet and makes them a wonderful point of consideration where cute and adorable can work out well. On a foot model it adds to the view of a soft, smooth looking foot that expresses itself as individual. The single toenail drop is a popular style with young adults and girls, and is typically done by dotting the fourth toe with a dash of glitter polish, while the other ones are solid or have a common design theme. Love and a sense of fun are one of the definite aim for someone who enjoys wearing this kind of style, since the foot will be able to attract and have awesome appeal value without issue. This style can also be done with two toes using opposite color or painting the fourth toe on both feet with different colors, making a foot that is full of flirt. What some may call a foot that expresses a sexy mood, the two color or single dot toe pedicure can do much more than that in terms of your foot style, since it is able to work well with toes that may have a full design theme set.

What would be the best colors for this type of style? Japanese styles enjoy their own range of favorite commonly used colors. Ink remover white out, solid monochrome red, and a dark polished navy blue among others are some of the colors that can be seen in use with this, not to mention the use of silver or gold glitter based colors. On many feet that use this style, the glitter or design element can look as though its an accessory piece to the rest of the foot, like something feeling similar to a toe ring or jewelry. In any case, it’s important to get a feel for the type of color that might look good for your pedicure when considering this style. It’s a great way to spark people’s imagination and attract positive attention.

platform (厚底サンダル)

The platform component for shoes adds a sense of stability and a collected mood while moving around a massive, metropolitan environment like Tokyo. Distance and number of people can add to how well you feel, and sometimes even knowing your destination isn’t enough when it’s you versus the rest of the city. Platform components on shoes are meant for fun styling and the choices are endless and great for creating a topic of conversation. Cute is not an issue for the platform either, since it’s able to give the most smallest of feet a happy audience. In Japan, it is a style component that is sought after in all available brands both foreign and local. For someone with a small frame, it could make them feel connected to the rest of the activity going on around them, and for models it can make a statement that’s both healthy for self and full of awesome. The platform is also a kind of pride and joy for many Japanese brands, who aren’t afraid of overusing the component in many of their designs or embracing the wonderful plain quality that it gives off. The platform is beyond here to stay – it’s already there one hundred times over with many Japanese fashion brands. Students and models alike buy and wear them as if they were candy or a snack, but never get tired of them. You might find the most fashion conscious person wearing them so that their toes are able to show off their color and style in cozy comfort. The bigger the platform, the more confident and strict the stance is, with the wearer seeming as if she always has an easy way moving forward or posing. The size of the platform never goes overboard, and is in proportion with the wearer’s body, never improper. With someone who has such a small frame, the platform is security in style as well as an added touch of attractiveness. Definitely someone you could have a thing for. The socks serve to accommodate trends whenever the platform components becomes in fashion, since it’s so commonplace that it has periods of popularity. Otherwise we would usually see the platform shoe being worn barefoot, working with whatever outfit that the wearer sees fit. The message that the platform component sends to viewers isn’t always a trendy one, and in fact most of the time it is more about how local or at home i’m with my surroundings. When seen in East Asia, you know that the wearer isn’t going anywhere and that they might be more about their local street than about international fashion.

enamel (エナメル素材)

Enamel material of shoes have a really wonderful way about them when placed with a woman’s foot. If for any reason you ever doubted how sexy and attractive legs or the foot could be, then enamel material is something that can enhance. When worn with bare feet, enamel based shoes can tell you about how attractive the figure is right up to the leg, and leave the viewer guessing about your experience with the beauty of the foot. Many Japanese women have played on the use of creme and pastel colors for enamel material based shoes, matching it to the tone of the skin that’s on top of the foot and creating a blending effect. Any color that isn’t within the pink, white, or beige range will instantly become a enamel color that highlights the nakedness of the legs rather than blending in with the feet.

Another role that the enamel material does well is giving style to shoes that are masculine or lean towards it. The glossy surface of the enamel shoe works to solidify the masculine and ensure that the enamel is a style addition. With both masculine and feminine enamel shoes, the elements are set so that the shoe as a whole is for stability or for a guaranteed masculine style that can be used in outfits. The sleek design of these types of shoes wraps around
the foot and seals it at the ankles, ending it with a pointed toe. The “sealed” look of the shoe is extremely popular in Japan, and is created by manipulating the gloss and soft tones of the female leg. When socks are worn, the softer tones of the leg are diminished and become commonplace, but the foot can still retain it’s femininity by balancing the colors or gloss effect with the outfit or makeup even. If the outfit were to be toned down any further with pants for example, we might’ve been in something that was a workplace outfit, since the shoes are masculine.

Despite the heavy maintenance cost for owning a pair of enamel based shoes, they are a very popular item in many internet shops, and could take on the name SOLD OUT in Japan without an issue. The shoe’s addictive slip in quality might be behind it or the use of the more masculine models for casual outfits which is something that is quite frequent.

display (靴ポーズ)

source: wear.jp

Why would we want to ponder over and wonder about something like display? Did you know that something like display could bring us closer to brands that might catch our attention in some way? We could even fall in love with a new pair of shoes or take more time with them if the display helped the subject. This is due to how display allows us to break down parts of our favorite items or styles, and may even highlight new favorite parts. To be able to see something we like in a way that takes our tastes and bends it in a slightly different, more favorable fashion that’s appealing is the nature of display when applied with shoes. This requires symmetry, alignment, and opening the potential wearer’s imagination. Display can be seen with these wedge heels with a top cover that almost looks as if its a bandage that has been wrapped around. The shoe successfully holds the wearer’s foot and bends it in a way that shows the wonderful parts of it, leaving the toes with just enough room for display at any angle. With a nice display such as this one, it would not be a bad idea to consider how the wearer might take her shoe off. Display could cover for both poses and when the shoe comes off, with the highlighting elements going from the shoe to the coloration and shape of the foot thanks to a nice toenail color and good foot care.

Shoes that have elements that contain metallic or types of metal have a certain display quality that forces the shoe to give up whatever kind of style it may be hiding. Most of the time, a metallic part does it’s job best by providing the shoes with both display value and acting as a main component. However, it’s probably a good idea to be careful about what you wear with these type of components, since some people may feel uncomfortable wearing these types of shoes with clothing like denim. If you are having thoughts that are comparing the your level of comfort versus your level of desire for including a metallic display, then think about how you would feel for the rest of the day displaying such elements. Display is great because even with elements that might make us feel uncomfortable it allows us to think and consider how a thing might be, especially in relation to ourselves. When a shoe is worn without regard to self, meaning it’s worn without fashion and is instead thought about for work, then the design and display element is gone and the view is commonplace. Flip flops are what the design became rather than a fashion piece. A preference for tight, close quarter design and style is another reference to Japanese, but it’s probably because many Japanese brands like to keep fashion and work together.

women’s clogs (女性下駄)

When wearing something like a clog shoe, our paces and order of walking are defined by the design of the clog and how much our feet are willing to spread across the area of the clog’s surface. The illustration of the foot is something that the clog does best, and it’s coloration will show a organic glow that can’t hide it’s beauty even on the roughest of land. Even better if someone can pull off a cute looking polish to put it all together. Coloring the toenails with a single, solid color by using the strap as a palette that gives all the colors available is a common theme with clog wearers, but you could also continue design themes that cover the strap motif in a different way. For example, if a strap has a design of flowers with red backdrop, then we would try to give our toes a theme that deals with whatever the strap illustrates. It doesn’t have to be an exact copy, but maybe something like a jewel & sparkle fade effect that a lot of shops like to show will do.

Source: http://ja.aliexpress.com

On some pairs of clogs, the strap of it serves to style the foot like clothing, so that the wearer is truly wearing the shoe. A strap that hides the nakedness of a foot with design, style, or motif
expresses that the foot’s styling is just as important as considering the foot itself, since the look of a foot is a good portion of how the clog looks as a whole. In other words, you begin to appreciate the foot. Appreciation is something that is important when dealing with a foot that has been defined by clog interaction and when thinking about the continued manufacturing of clogs. This is because for generations Japan has dealt with how the female foot was to be handled by dealing with clog design over time. Beauty is there, but what could we do in terms of the design, patterns, and daily routines to continue what we like in a clog that is worn by a female? It’s questions like these that will make the wearer happy and comfortable in the end. If you are into fashion, don’t hesitate or be afraid to handle the body part at least once a day in a way that educates you on design. When you know what a foot goes through, then you can help people better though your creations.

Ballet slipper flats (バレエシューズ)

source: kaumo.jp/image/696240

When the foot wants to feel comfort alone, the feminine ballet slipper flats just might do the trick. For starters, the soft part of the foot underneath fits nicely because of a memory foam cushioning or sheepskin, followed by enough space to accommodate the sides of the foot and the spread of the surface area just below the toes also underneath the foot. Once the foot is comfortable in a shoe like this, then consideration of style begins and we then have to deal with whether or not the default point toe design fits our idea. Japanese taste tend to enjoy ballerina flat shoes that have pointy or fit tops and a nice inner shoe lining that is able to make the foot feel good. Lightness of foot is also a good quality for the ballet flat to have since in many of these types of shoe designs, light and soft are qualities that are in combination. It’s all very easy to wear. If there is a case where the shoe cannot provide me with comfort because of basic factory cushioning, then the ballerina flats are perfect for handling the nylon sock that might be worn since they couldn’t be worn barefoot. In some of the shoes, we find that the toe area of the shoe conceals the lines of the toe creases completely, only showing the top of the foot, which comes in all sorts of dark, browns, cremes, and pale shades in Japan.

The ballet slipper flats are good for everyday activity and they’re great things to use when on a easy daily work routine that allows you to relax or be in a place where you have to walk frequently, like an office. The shape and design of a ballet flat shoe expresses that it isn’t about inactivity, but that it’s not exactly active either. Any active elements to a ballet shoe flat should be things that make us comfortable so that we don’t feel like we are working. They fit seasonal trends better than most pairs of shoes, and can cover most days of the year if worn with socks.

party shoes (パーティのかかと)

source: wear.jp

Partying is cool. Many of us would like to stand out or be there with the crowds or groups, and our outfit just might be able to do that, but what about our shoes? The shoe is with our outfit, and it might even be cool enough to have a style of its own. Shoes that have highlighting aspects are great for conquering our personal party atmosphere. Here we find ourselves attempting to use this idea by applying a belt to heel sandals, and with the wood layer style of the heel, we are successful in standing out. The belt of a heel sandal or pump is a great highlighting aspect that can almost always win the day when wanting to handle the party your own way style wise. Wide belt makes good use of the buckle, so using it as a highlighting aspect is not a problem at all. For a simple win, the Bijou style sandals can fit you in perfectly, and you won’t need to worry about your shoe’s highlighting element. The bijou style has a good hold on many Japanese fashion brands, with many kinds of simplified interpretations of it. Another highlighting aspect of a shoe can also be found in solid color pointed toe heels which is much easier than pinpointing it on heel sandals or pumps. The color of it is simply the highlighting aspect, allowing you to fit your shoes and outfit towards a party. Solid color pumps are an awesome display of highlight aspect, and it works even better if you can find solid colors that have design additions to the shoe.

If we wanted something a little different for a party, then we can take a look at more flamboyant designs that have been purchased before in Japan, like the use of fur on shoes, pumps, and heels, and art heel designs. These type of designs are more popular with a younger crowd obviously or for specific events. What’s important though is that the design of the shoe illustrates a style that can be successfully used in parties. Specific heel toe designs that work well with the rest of the shoe will also win in many cases because of how easy it is to illustrate the highlight element. We should think about if our heels have an exciting point, or a sleek point that would cause others to think about our fashion at a party. Making a good impression from your fashion is awesome, so it’s a good thing to take the time to feel out which brands have shoes that are considerate towards party scenes.
